Greening our cities: Gardens for high-density living SOLD OUT

EWHA MEMBERS ONLY – Friday 30th September 2022

Due to popular demand we once again offer you the opportunity to visit 2 city gardens.

This time we will feature the Parliament House rooftop and historic gardens as well as revisit the award-winning garden atop the Phoenix Tower in Flinders Street.

Join us as Rachel Robertson, Garden Curator at Parliament House, explains the amazing landscapes and how they’re maintained. In 2018 a new building extension provided the opportunity to incorporate a large roof garden. This was designed by TCL Landscape Architects. Lucas Dean from TCL will talk to us about the design process.

Gary Simpson from Infinite Landscape Pty. Ltd. and Merran Porjazoski from Bent Architecture will describe their project located 30 storeys up on the Phoenix Tower. This is a rare opportunity for horticulturists and designers to access the Phoenix Tower garden.

Locations: Parliament House, Spring Street, Melbourne

Lunch at Collins Place Food Court, 45 Collins Street (at own expense)
Phoenix Tower Apartments, 82 Flinders Street.
